As part of their planned upgrade, the Royal Observatory wanted to change the way they displayed the photographs for their world famous annual international astronomy competition.
Brief: To find a way to display large images on ‘floating’ light panels. These had to be individually controllable and strong enough to allow the general public to touch them.
Solution: We worked with a fabrication company to produce bespoke frames for our SkyLight panels and each one was fitted at our factory in Cheshire. The frames were then painted black so as to be almost invisible and each panel had its own control.
